Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences and gather anonymous usage data. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage to store your preferences locally. This policy covers all of them.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and local storage to keep Roma Dash running, to remember your preferences (such as accepting the cookie notice and confirming your age), and to understand in aggregate how visitors interact with our games — so we can improve them.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site running, security, age-gate acknowledgement, cookie-consent preference. No consent required. | __age_ok, __cc_v1 | Session to 12 months |
| Performance / analytics | Anonymous traffic measurement via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No personal profiles built. | __cf_bm, Cloudflare analytics | Up to 30 days |
| Functional | Remembers UI preferences: volume settings on game widgets, accepted age-gate state. | localStorage keys | Up to 12 months |
| Advertising / targeting | When you arrive via a paid Google Ads campaign, Google and Microsoft Advertising may set cookies for attribution and ad measurement. Only set with your consent. Google Privacy Policy · Microsoft Privacy Statement. | Google Ads cookies, Microsoft Advertising cookies | Up to 13 months |
4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR + PECR)
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interests — they are essential to provide the service you've requested and do not require separate consent. All other cookie categories — performance, functional, and advertising — are set only on the basis of your freely given opt-in consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Managing Your Cookies on Roma Dash
When you first visit Roma Dash, a cookie banner gives you the choice of "Accept all" or "Essential only". Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change your mind later, clear that key using your browser's developer tools or storage inspector, or clear all site data — the banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also email support@rome-airport-shuttle.com to request that we note a preference change on our records.
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser. Instructions for major browsers:
7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following third-party services may set cookies on Roma Dash when consent is given:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — provides hosting, CDN, DDoS protection, and anonymised web analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC — Google Ads attribution cookies may be set when you arrive via a Google Ads campaign and have consented to advertising cookies. Google Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Advertising cookies may be set when you arrive via a Microsoft Advertising campaign and have consented. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Roma Dash honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC opt-out signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies and will not set those categories for your session. We do not currently respond to the legacy DNT (Do Not Track) header, as it lacks a standardised meaning across browsers, but we recommend using GPC-compatible browsers for stronger privacy control.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be flagged via the site's cookie banner.
